MAGIC SPEED™

The MAGIC SPEED™ is the leaner, les spec'd sister of METASPEED™ Sky and Edge. With the same 5mm drop of that of the METASPEED™ Sky, (the METASPEED™ Edge has an 8mm drop) but slimmed down stack height, this shoe houses a FLYTEFOAM™ BLAST midsole.

The carbon fibre plate sits nearer the outsole, bottom loaded, and is ¾ length. The METASPEED™ Sky, METASPEED™ Edge and MAGIC SPEED™, whilst are not strictly shoes for the young, are designed with what we equate to youth – wild, free thinking, fast paced and fearless.

In summary, regardless of where we sit in the generation graph, many of us love to run. Concerningly, mental illness now affects approximately 13% of our world’s population and we know that running can offer a role in healing this. Running provides a platform for social connection, improvement in cognitive clarity, and provide a state whereby our often locked-in emotions can release.

As Onitsuka Tiger grew to become ASICS, and go on to establish itself as one of the world's leading sports brands - we always knew the spirit of our heritage would live on. A history that prided itself on a Japanese craftsmanship combined with a timeless aesthetic that was discovered on the track, and later worn on the street.

This rich heritage inspired us to relaunch Onitsuka Tiger back into the world in 2002. Classics were refreshed, reinterpreted, reinvented. Taking the original Onitsuka Tiger sports shoes as a starting point, we made changes to cuts, colours and construction to bring you made-for-living remodels of the MEXICO 66, CALIFORNIA 78 and NIPPON MADE.
