This shoe reimagines the GEL-EXTREME™ basketball shoe from 1989 with an updated look and feel. The style was created by Toshikazu Kayano as his first design project with ASICS. This shoe is an A.P.C. Studios collaboration with ASICS that aims to revive the GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50 sneaker with improved comfort and a chunky aesthetic. A.P.C imagined this shoe with simple colors that combine some of the vintage ASICS colors that were featured in the original models. It also has multi-colored laces and the classic bubble in the heel with the ASICS logo. The soles are also multi-colored, and this all combines for a unique streetwear look that is a contemporary reimagining of the classic ASICS models.
