Codie Taylor and His Love for the Game
Raised by a family of rugby players, Codie Taylor connected with the sport from a young age while growing up in Feilding and Levin. He followed in the footsteps of his father, a rugby and rugby league player, finding a love for it that propelled him into a career on the field. As a member of the Junior All Blacks squad in 2011 the team went on to win a World Championship title.
An unfortunate injury in 2013 gave Taylor a hard obstacle early in his career and he found himself buying time between 2012-2015 to get consistent game time. But he trusted that the work he put in would eventuate into opportunity. That patience and dedication paid off when he was named to the All Blacks squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England. He’s since continued to represent the All Blacks and is an established member of the Crusaders as a hooker.
