From 25 - 30 June, we’re staging an uplifting relay across 5 countries, inspired by the incredible journeys of 7 ASICS athletes. Together, we want to spark a movement and inspire more people to move their minds.

Nadia Battocletti (IT) - Cles
Born in Cles, Italian middle- and long-distance runner Nadia Battocletti credits her parents as her greatest inspiration and motivation. A full-time student balancing her studies with professional athletics, Nadia is a firm believer in the power of sports to unite people and lift spirits. This summer, Nadia won the European Championships for 5,000m and 10,000m in front of her home crowd in Rome.

Richard Ringer (DE) - Friedrichshafen
Long-distance and cross-country runner Richard Ringer started his career in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The European Championships bronze medalist and two times European Team Championships winner is an outstanding sportsman who champions the power of running to move minds.

Laura Hottenrott (DE) - Kassel
Laura Hottenrott is a German long-distance runner and Sport Scientist from Kassel. Her father was Laura's first coach who sparked her passion for running and the running community. A dedicated trail and road runner, Laura loves to spread her joy for the sport across all distances and terrains.

Maureen Koster (NL) - Gouda
Born in Gouda, Dutch middle-distance runner Maureen Koster loves to celebrate new Personal Bests with her loved ones - and cheesecake. She started athletics at the age of 7 and has been participating in international competitions since she was 16. Maureen is a passionate athlete who likes to inspire others to move for body and mind.

Diane van Es (NL) - Rotterdam
Diane van Es, born and raised in Rotterdam, started running together with her two sisters. Always supported by her family, Diane started competing in athletics from an early age. She's the Dutch record holder for the 10km and continues to feel inspired by the pure joy for running and how it makes her feel.

Bashir Abdi (BE) - Ghent
Bashir Abdi is the European marathon record holder, bronze medallist at the World Championships and Olympic Games. The Somali-born Belgian athlete is known for his incredible sportsmanship and dedication to the running community: “Sport is a universal language and has given me so much. Running has allowed me to make friends for life, literally learn a new language and got me to where I am today, as an athlete and a human being. Sport is something special that people don’t understand until they experience it themselves, and I am grateful to be part of the ASICS team that wants to help everyone achieve a sound mind in a sound body through movement.”

Mekdes Woldu (FR) - Val'd Oise
Mekdes Woldu is an Eritrean-born French runner from Val D’Oise. She discovered her love for running at the age of 12 in her birthplace of Eritrea and quickly excelled, winning the national cross-country title three times within the national team. A triple France champion and breaker of the French 5km record, Mekdes embodies sportsmanship and the community spirit, inspiring all who run to do it with dedication and joy.
